Farigh Field (Area 107)
The Farigh Field was discovered in 1969 and is located in the eastern Sirte Basin, some 70 km south of the Amal Field. It is producing from a fractured reservoir on natural flow. The crude oil is shipped from Farigh to the Amal Field, where it is blended with the Amal crude and exported to the Ras Lanuf Terminal. Recent years’ exploration activity in the area revealed that the field may further extend to the south, leaving significant development potential.
